Fleet Maintenance Manager - Heavy trucks #3822

A leading provider of environmental services including solid waste collection, transfer, disposal and recycling services is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager in Northern NY. Previous experience as a Shop Manager for a waste hauling company is highly preferred.

The Maintenance Manager plans, organizes, directs, and manages the Division's maintenance function in order to maintain a safe, reliable, and cost effective fleet of vehicles and/or equipment and/or adequate supply of containers. The position will be responsible for approximately 36 trucks, and 5 Technicians.
REQUIRED:
-High school diploma or GED
-5
years as Manager or Supervisor for a heavy-duty truck transportation company.
- A valid drivers license with a clean driving record
-Strong background in management, leadership and safety
PREFERRED:
- Waste industry experience strongly preferred but not required.
- Valid commercial driver license
- ASE Certification
Compensation:
- $70-85k/year base salary
potential 10% bonus (DOE)
