IT Support Technician

Overview
The IT Support Technician assists the Operations & Customer Service Supervisor in achieving efficient operations in the data center. Monitors all systems in the Data Center and PBX Room for problems, performs analysis and resolution, if possible, through application of documented procedures or escalates issues to appropriate management, technical or analytical staff. Performs maintenance, troubleshooting, installation and configuration of computer/mobile devices, peripherals, applications and other related equipment that ISS supports. The IT Support Technician is a secondary point of contact assisting the Help Desk taking help calls from all users when they are experiencing issues. Must follow written downtime procedures and maintain communications with facility during downtime. Must be able to communicate well and work effectively with other operators, ISS staff and users.
Special Criteria Details.ResponsibilitiesMonitors computing platforms and data communication hardware/networks, in the Data Center and PBX room, to ensure the availability of all systems.Operates equipment and processes located in the data center per established procedures.Assists Help Desk answering calls and documenting tickets. Responds to users who have general questions concerning hardware, software, network and other equipment/systems supported by ISS.Escalates and routes unresolved problems to the appropriate personnel.Configure, troubleshoot, install, and repair personal computers/mobile devices, peripherals such as printers, scanners, label printers, UPS and applications within the Medical Center.Performs cleaning and maintenance functions on computer and other equipment supported by ISS when requested/scheduled.Performs preventative maintenance of ISS supported equipment.Sets up projection unit per calendar schedule.Asset tags and places into inventory computer/mobile device based software and hardware, peripherals and other related equipment as directed.Maintains all logs in the data center for communications and consistency.Maintains work area and equipment in a safe, orderly mannerRecommends departmental procedures relating to operations and assists with creating those procedures.Attends operational staff meetings, training and educational programs as scheduled by the Operations & Customer Service SupervisorReads and keeps updated from technical documentation in operations area.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent required.CompTIA A
certification, AS Degree in IT related field or 2 years' experience in setting up PCs, maintenance of PCs, laptops, printers, and the various operating systems required.Ability to operate tools, components, and peripherals accessories.Previous experience with performing back-ups and operating printer devices preferred.Experience with Microsoft Office software preferred.Must be able to read, write, comprehend and translate technical instructions and procedures and have the ability to be extremely detailed oriented and organized.Highly motivated self-starter.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
